REGISTER TODAYFor 24 years, disability advocates from around Missouri have traveled to the State Capitol to participate in Disability Rights Legislative Day and have their voices heard. For several years, we were able to bring Missourians the option of participating virtually, and we are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity in 2026.
The event will be held in person and virtually. People with disabilities, family members, and others can participate regardless of where they live in the state. The more people that participate, the more we can advocate for what's important to us and show legislators why disability issues and our stories matter.

Disability Rights Legislative Day will be held from 9 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. A rally will take place from 11 am - 12 pm and will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including powerful disability advocates. Before or after the rally in-person participants are encouraged to meet with their legislators and explore the Capitol.
We will feature rally speakers focused on a variety of topics. When you meet with your legislators, you can talk about these topics or any other issues that impact your life each and every day.

In-Person Participants can expect:
- A rally with self-advocates expressing their support and highlighting important disability issues
Time in the morning or afternoon(not during the rally which is 11 am-12 pm) to set up appointments with your legislator. This will need to be done on your own or with a group!
- Training and Resources to help you tell your story and advocate about what matters most to you leading up to and following the event
Virtual Participants can expect:
- High-quality streaming of the rally with live captioning
- Training and Resources on how to interact with your legislator in your home district
- After-event resources to continue engaging with elected officials
